2017- 15  as a member of staff at Gallery 2 in central Ipswich ran workshops ,studio visits and gave talks and sold art

2016 demonstrating welding Ipswich Gallery and Town Hall part of Suffolk Craft Society

2016 I was asked to illustrate a book about Quay Place, St Mary at the Quay, Ipswich, as well as rope diagrams - I used the iPad

2008 I was one of their selected  artists to create specifically commissioned works for an exhibition to celebrate Gainsborough’s House

I created a series of unique, zinc and steel etchings with Chine collé. Learning to cut the plates, creating a unique prints  before welding the plates into a sculpture, a practice I have continued to develop as it is a great eye-opener when showing people  possibilities in print, sculpture and art

In 2008 I created  recycled  awards for the Sunday Times, best green companies, partly created out of metal components from the printing, presses decommissioned after 22 years of printing, the Sunday Times

2007 I was artist in residence in Tattingstone primary school for three weeks working with the children teaching them gas welding

2002 Sprites Primary Academy day workshop making sculptures with children

2003 Haileybury, Hertfordshire Spent a week in Art department engaging with the children also time to make this etching, discovering a new tool I had no knowledge of before: straight shaft dot roulette

2002-2001 resident @ Wysing arts Centre, Cambridge, demonstrated, educated, exhibited ,ran workshops for a large assortment of people with various education and physical challenges.

​

2001 Perse School, Cambridge Spent six weeks at the school, partly making my own work, always being accessible to the children and doing workshops and classes with them, Sculpture bought for school collection.

​

2001 Lifelines funded by Rural arts East as part of a summer touring exhibition designed  as a day out for the family, talking to them about my sculpture and  the making process, toured round ten  Norfolk village halls, set up the exhibition each Saturday then run workshops engaging with the public, packed up at end of each event from Aylsham Town Hall to Saint James Church, Yarmouth .

2000 guest artist at Alford Craft Market, contemporary metalwork theme, demonstrated oxyacetylene welding and cutting and talked about how I make sculptures this led to exhibiting my sculptures at The Ropewalk Arts Centre, Barton on Humber from 2000 to 2005

2000 spent a month at Cill Rialaig arts project, west coast of Ireland making sculpture

1997 Processing Your Thoughts Workshops & Exhibition at Haverhill Arts Centre encouraging drawing, was supplied with beautiful sketchbooks to fill funded by Daler-Rowney & Eastern Arts

1997-93 lecturing at Suffolk College and Cambridge School of Art, part time

1996 shortlisted for Henry Moore Fellow, Loughborough University

1996, I wrote an article for artists newsletter about my practice of working with ceramic and firing clay with metal. 

1996 Workshop at George Orwell School, London

​

In 1995 I received a grant from the worshipful Company of founders to do a course at Central Saint Martins UAL on ceramic shell casting, exhibiting with the Royal Society for the encouragement of arts, manufacturers, and commerce in London RSA.

1993 demonstrated bronze, casting at Suffolk Show with Lawrence Edwards, Stuart Anderson

1993-95 Working for John Maine stone sculptor staying in The Old Lower Lighthouse on Portland, were I drew and made sculpture from found materials, also sailing to Alderney collecting metal for my sculptures 

​

I received a travel bursary from SUFFOLK Craft Society 1992 for studying Gaudi in Barcelona

​

1991 I was lucky to be discovered by John & Jill Hutchings, who ran the Curwen & New Academy Gallery, Fitzrovia, London, after gaining my degree in 1991. Not only did they support, encourage, guide me, exhibit and sell my work for nearly 30 years, in 1998 they put me forward, via Stanley Jones for a grant to join a European print workshop in Tavira, Portugal, run by the amazing Barto dos Santos. Barto, who was also a tutor at the Slade printmaking school, was an inspiring teacher and I leaned Chine collé

​

1991 first class degree with honours in Sculpture at The  Metropolitan University of Manchester. Whilst there I spent three months, initially painting in Spain, but meeting sculptors for the first time and changed disciplines to Sculpture. I became fascinated with metal, bronze casting and welding 

​

After Foundation at Ipswich art school spent a week in Moscow and Lenningrad - since then travel became vital 

​
